I've been really worried about my heart recently due to a few things that have happened over the last few months. Doctor doesn't seem overly concerned but I, of course, am.
The main problem I'm having at the moment is that I've been worrying about this for so long that I don't know wht's normal anymore, are these things problems or am I just starting to notice things that have always happened but which never bothered me before?
The most recent worries are as follows:
Sometimes, often when I'm drying my hands, I notice the blue veins appearing on the palms/fingers very clearly. I don't think this is normal, could this be related to a herat/circulation problem.
Also, my knees feel quite cold. Are knees normally cold? I really can't remember!!
Cheers

Those don't sound like serious symptoms to me. In fact, they just sound like normal things that you'd notice if you focused too much on your body :D What are your other symptoms?

Sounds like cold knee blue vein syndrome.
Seriously, try not to worry so much- I'm sure it's nothing. :)

Ya know some days the veins in my hands seem more prominent then others I seriously think it doesnt mean anything. The cold knees well that can happen I somtimes cannot seem to get my feet warm but that doesnt mean I have a heart or other condition anyway if it was anything like say bad circulation it would more likely be your feet that would be cold all the time and even then it doesnt mean poor circulation for sure

The whole blue vein thing is a bit weird. The palms of my hands look a bit like blue-vein cheese! They go really white, usually when I put some pressure on them and that leaves the blue veins really prominent. It seems a bit coincidental given my other concerns and has definately never happened before.
Long story short, had a chest pain some months ago. In the aftermath I had various symptoms including
chest tightness
fatigue
palpatations
dizzy spells
I've been to the doctor and he can't find anything wrong and thinks this 'll all go away in time but he has passed me onto a cardiologist (at least he said he would, still no contact). The reason I've chosen to fixate on the blue veins (of all things) is that everything else could be due to anxiety but I don't think this could be. I've only noticed it since my last visit to the doctors so haven't discussed it with him.
I'm wondering if it could be a circulation thing (which might also explain the dizziness).
I have similar symptoms as you but not the chest pain and I agree with some of the respondents that some of mine is from fixating on certain things. I was fixating on the fact that I could feel my heart beat even though it was only between 60-78 beats per minute and was fixating on my weight gain/loss. All this fixating of course causes anxiety and who knows what impact that is having on me, but it can't be good for this constant worrier.
Other things I have noticed/symptoms are...
the blue veins in my palms and forearm that seems to go away when my hands warm up
tingling sensation and itchy skin in certain parts of my body especially feet and legs
hard to describe, but something similar to a dizziness, lighheadedness, brain fog, etc.
cold hands and feet but it is winter of course here in the Mid-Atlantic
tendreness in calf, not pain but tender to the touch
mild muscle fatigue but nothing that stops me from exercising
all of the above worst in the morning when I first get up
Any advice on circulation help or clues on this stuff would be helpful. Like I said, my heart rate is pretty good and I have no issue with exercising vigorously so not sure what my possible circulation issue is due too.
