My mom has been dealing with chronic pain in her large joints for over a year or more. She had her RA factor read a 45 and the doctor told her since her pain was in the large joints and not the small ones she does not have RA. She has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but apparently there is more going on with her. She is on so many pain killers, etc. and she has her good days and her bad days -- more bad than good though.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions. thanks so much

have you discuss the new biogics with your rheumatologists? Biogics such as enbrel and remicade - they tend to help rheumatoid arthritis sufferers. A lot of people in that treatment do well when pain killers no longer works for them.

P.S never never trust ONE doctor.... i suggest you to go and see other doctors for their opionions. That mistake of trusting one doctor because he seemed smart and nice has costed me in bad health.
