I have finally proven to myself that antibiotics are the cause of my seborroheic dermatitis. I dealt with this years ago after a long course of antibiotics. Since I never had it before I wasn't sure of the cause (though I suspected the cause). Anyway I had it for about two years, really bad dandruff, problems with skin on different parts of body. Finally started doing things to help it (cooler showers, even though I love hot showers, drying off completely but the biggest help was Nizoral shampoo). I have used Nizoral once or twice a week for the past few years. Always had a problem with some dandruff but no big deal plus rest of body was fine. Anyway after years of doing fine I was put on a long course of strong antibiotics for a really bad sinus infection that went to ear. You know it, after finishing antibiotics all my skin problems are back. I'm taking showers everyday, bought a zinc shampoo to alternate with Nizoral. Taking those lactobacillus pills and eating lots of yogurt. It's a war again but I'm hoping I'll beat it, hate the feeling of my skin burning. Oh and one way to get rid of it fast is take a trip to Florida and go in the ocean for a week. though I can do that this year.

By using a zinc shampoo and eating tons of yogurt and taking probiotics my skin seems to have improved (not better but better then it was). Does anybody know how I can reverse the damage caused by taking those strong antibiotics?
