would like to know more info about trazadone and if it can be taken during the day. does it help with sleep? thankyou

I was just reading where someone got severe headaches from it. i tried it years ago and as i recall it did the same to me. Do you think if i try it again and cut the dose, that it won't be so bad? did you get headaches when you first started? I also wouldn't take it during the day. Genevra 02-11-2003, 03:26 PM I am on Lexapro, and because of that I have insomnia. The doc gave me Trazodone to take "as needed". I've only used it once (50 mg), and it didn't work as I expected. Took a few hours to get to sleep, and then I was a bit of a zombie the next day. Next time I think I'll take 25mg earlier in the evening. I was told by pdoc that this med can be used during the day ( a small amount)---but do NOT drive!!! Thanks for bring this topic up.
