Is there anyone else out there who does not qualify for prescription assistance due to your income being too much..and yet your insurance plan only covers a portion, and the out-of-pocket expense is still way too great for you to get treatment? That is where I stand. It seems that only the very rich or very poor are able to get treatment. I hate that my expenses are still greater than my income, and yet I still do not qualify for prescription assistance. I am just waiting and hoping for a newer and more afordable treatment for hep C.
I failed interferon treatment about 10 years ago, before the combo treatment was available. The side effects were horrible and the depression the interferon caused was so great, that I dont know that I would be willing to risk that side effect again.
However due to the cost of the treatment, I really have no other option but to wait and watch, hope and pray.
