yes, i had done quite a bit of research for my friend. she was a heroin user back in the day. she didn't have any insurance and hadn't been to a doctor in years. she had broke a couple ribs and finally went to a doc to find out her bad news. she also ended up getting cirrhosis from it. she ended up passing away in aug. 2005. she suffered terribly toward the end. i am so glad that her pain is gone. it still hurts sooooo bad! i was with her til her last breath!

Hep C can only be trasmitted by blood to blood contact..needle sharing, blood transfusion (really rare nowadays as they really screen the blood supplies) also if an infected mother passes it to her unborn child. NOT sexually. My hubby has had it for 35+ years and we have 5 kids together...not one of us has it. If you're worried, go get tested.

Your information is not accurate. Research has shown that Hepatitis C CAN be transmitted sexually.

What your information does underline is that women almost never transmit it to men.

I absolutel agree that testing is the only way to know for certain. It is where guessing ends and knowledge begins.
