Hey daisy,
Just wanted to say that I know exactly how you feel....the wait to get in to see a dermatologist is ridiculous. I don't think I've ever waited less than 2 or 3 months. The one I used to go to, I ended up being such a good customer that they'd schedule me for cortisone injections the same day I called. Guess it's because they wanted as much money out of me as they could get. Anyway, I always use the "emergency" excuse...wedding this weekend, going on vacation, etc. Things like that. Not sure what kind of advice I could give you but I just wanted you to know that I understand your frustration. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you.

Can I ask, where do you live? I live in Santa Barbara and I have never had a problem seeing my dermatologist. I called on Thursday and they asked if I wanted to come Friday, so I did. Maybe when you make an appointment ask them if they can put you on a waiting list and ask if they mind if you call back to see if they have any cancelations. That is probably what I would do. Good luck. Skin problems are SO frustrating.

I also wanted to add that I also did this, ask to be put on a waiting list for cancellations. My derm gave me their private line that their answering service does not answer and it goes straight through to their front desk. I usually get an appointment for a couple hours later. With derms in this area, you have to be super pushy. :)

I had never been to a dermatologist, but since i moved to Cincinnati from Seattle..................my skin is HORRIBLE!!!! Not to mention my hair! I have also seen a huge difference in my skin (amongst other things) since i turned 30!

I've only been to a dermatologist twice, but I got in within 2 weeks each time. Maybe I'm just lucky.
