Lenin 02-13-2006, 08:26 AM The current good routine, if your insurance company balks at Willdo's mentioned super-sensitive CT or MRI, is to have a stress test withe radioactive markers that will show an area of the heart that is being "starved" when under stress. IF that show likely arterial blockage then the risk, discomfort, and expense of proceeding to a percutaneous (catheter) angiogram becomes worth doing. The good thing about the angiogram is that the repair can very often be made at the same time. |
