I can't seem to stop running a fever throughout having this sinus infection. I usually have a normal temperature during the day but I almost always wake up at night with night sweats and a fever. In the morning I usually have a low temperature as well- usually my fevers are low, 99-100 degrees F. Sometimes I have a temperature throughout the day as well. But it's getting so annoying because I wake up every single night, sweating like crazy! I've never heard of running a fever with a sinus infection, much less a fever that causes night sweats every single night! I'm on Augmentin XR & tapering off a prednisone burst but not sure if i'm getting better (actually i'm feeling worse but I don't know if that means i'm better or not). Does anyone else get fevers with their sinus infections? How do you control it? Especially at night- I am so sick of waking up drenched in sweat!

I've never had fevers with sinus infections. Are you taking an OTC analgesic to reduce fever, such as Tylenol? If the fever continues or doesn't respond to analgesic therapy, consult your doctor.

I get fevers sometimes. I just take advil. it helps the sinus swelling too. Though in your case, the prednisone should take care of that.

I get a fever now and than with sinus infections. It is normal. Take Advil for the pain and rest up. It will get better!
