Has anyone had steroid injections to help with keloid scars? If so..........did it help? I have heard this can help not only with apperance but pain and itching too.

i had a breast lift 2 days ago, and while i was under i had my ps give me steroid injections into a keloided scar. so far i don't see much change, but that may come later.

I personally have not but have known others that have and have said that it did help some. According to what I have heard from doctors the most important thing in the beginning is to apply an anti scar medication to it and to massage it w/ direct pressure. Scars can be reversed for 2 years after they are new.
