I am 25 female, 7 months post partum- 3 months post gallbladder surgery.
I am 5'5 140 pounds.
I have in the past suffered from anxiety/panic attacks. I have terrible sinuses and allergy problems.
For the last 2 months Every time I go to stand up i get a strange pressure feeling in my neck and head..sometimes, not always..i feel my heart pound. I get lightheaded like i might pass out. I have heart palpitations...now i feel this terrible pressure like feeling under my ears and in my neck..sometimes when i move my neck certain ways I get a palpitation. It feels like if i put pressure on my chest that it also causes that tight feeling in my head and causes a palpitation.
In the past I have had several Ekgs, blood work, xrays..all came back fine.
I scheduled another appt with my dr for the 28th..it seems so far away so i thought i would get advice here while i wait.
Thanks for reading..I am REALLY scared.
Take care

It's hard to say. Your symptoms are a little vague. Sounds like it could be a blood pressure problem.

It mainly happens when I stand up..almost every time..which is really getting to me, I have a 7 month old to take care of. I stand up , after a second or two I feel this pressure like feeling creeping into my head and often my heart will pound. My blood pressure normally runs around 107/70 is that bad??

Check to see if your BP drops when you stand.
Or, it could be something simple like ear or sinus infection or maybe inner ear.
That's all I can think of.
Holding your baby while you are standing up when you feel dizzy isn't too wise though...
I hope your mystery is solved quickly and you feel better soon...

I agree that you should check your blood pressure when standing up.

Try some extra folic acid. Your body may need more than the recommended 400mg. for a short time esp. after giving birth.
