Hello everyone,

This is my first time on this board. I am hoping some of you can share some of your knowledge with me. Here is a little history on my sister. She was diagnosed with MS at the age of 21 (2 years ago). Her first episode was optic neuritis in which she almost completely lost her vision in both eyes. Since that time she has had a few other bouts of optic neuritis in one or both eyes but this far has always returned to almost normal. This week she started to have a warm sensation on one side of her body. When she went to see her optic neurologist today he mentioned that he thought she might have Devic's syndrome. From what I understand, that is much worse than MS. She is starting on steroids today and will be having another MRI on Monday. If this is Devics, what does this mean for her? I should mention that this is the first symptom other than optic neuritis that she has had since being diagnosed. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familar with this disease. Hopefully other people on the board will know something more about it.

I'm sorry to hear that your sister is having these health problems. I will be hoping that things get better....!
