Hi everyone! Well, I have made it thru the first month, and I have to say it has been a little difficult. I take my shot on mondays, tuesdays are not good. I feel really crappy, but I sleep most of the day. For me the shot is like draining all life, energy, and strength from me. Wednesdays are kind of so-so. I still feel run down but not as bad as tuesday. The pills just kind of keep me tired and dragging. I have no appetite, but my family makes sure I eat something. I have an awesome support group with my family and my boyfirend. They have been wonderful, it's like everyone is involved in it, not just myself. I assume the side affects I've had so far have been on the mild side, I'm hoping that is not so, because that means it will be worse later. But for now I am maintaining for the most part. It is a whole different type of thing with this tx, it's a very heavy medicine. I have not had to miss work yet, but I'm off on tuesdays and wednesdays to recoop. I work for my daughter so that makes it easier if I have to miss work. So far, the lexapro, my antidepressant is working well. Will be back with another update soon. All of you are wonderful.

Hello, I'm happy its going pretty good for you.....I was told in Nov. I had hep c and I've done lots of reseach and talked to a pharmacist and a couple of nurses that I know, and they said there's going to be new meds, but these meds that are out have been around for awhile and they work., and there's a lot of people that do have bad times on it but how long did they let it go and do they have other stuff going on in there body. I was told give it a try. It scares me what some people say about the meds....I just want to feel better and kill the virus, so hearing what you have to say is going to help me too. Also it runs on my dads side so I have to give the treatment a chance.
I'm pretty sure your system gets more use to it, and it gets a little easier, for the flu like symptoms, but than I hear theres some deprression that comes in, but who wouldn't get depress after feeling like you have the flu that long. I'm suppose to start next week I'm waiting on the meds, I'm going to do mine on Fridays after work and I know my sat. and some suns. will be gone for a while. I'm suppose to do this for 6 months i'm genotype 2b, but never had a biopsy, so I'm not sure what stage I am . I have a 17yr and 18yr at home (girls) and a boyfriend for the last 20yrs....:) they say they will be supportive....I sure hope so...
lmk how your doing
