I have a ton of symptoms and was really hoping to find something that will explain WHY certain areas of my body are affected and what is causing the symptoms.
Example:
I get severe leg and ribcage muscle cramps but WHY?
I get severe headaches but WHY?
I get sore and tender skin by WHY?
ETC........
Just looking to read why these areas are affected by fibro and what I can do to relieve or treat the symptoms.

A friend recently gave me a "Fibromyalgia for dummies" book. It has helped answer some questions and concerns i have about FM. It also gives suggestions of different kinds of therapies for FM, and a lot of other information. But before you buy the book you may want to go to Borders or Barnes and Noble and see if it has the kind of info you were looking for :)
Good Luck- Candi

dear polly,
there really is no why. it just is. you can spend alot of emotion looking for why. better to use that energy at your local book store. fibro for dummies. i love it! way back when i was starting this journey i read alot of books. they helped. mostly i read books on healing my mind. how to cope with loss, fear, stress, anger, anticipation. all emotions alter the body.
you can do this. its only scary till the newness wears off.
peace,

Hi Polly, I read a book called 'Fatigue to Fantastic' by Dr. Jacob Teitlebaum. It had some very good info in it. It deals with Chronic fatigue symdrome and Fibro. The doc himself has CFS and he gives info from a medical standpoint and from a natural one.
Good Luck
