Hi Marti--

I had a few questions about my fungus problem, if you would be so kind to answer them! You seem to have lots of valuable information--and I am desperate for help. I have had this fungus on all my toenails for as long as I can remember. My mom, sister, and grandmother all have it, too, so it's obviously a hereditary thing for me. A few of my nails are very discolored, thick and lifted, while others are just discolored and bent. My heals are dry and peeling, as well (I read somewhere that the Vapor Rubs cream can help this?). I have been reading these posts, and have learned a lot already. I just ordered Amoresse Thymol and plan to use it twice a day. I plan to use distilled vinegar with it simultaneously. Also, should I use the Vapor Rubs during this time for the balls of my feet and heals, even if using the other two items? Can I risk spreading this to my hand nails by touching/treating my toes? Lastly, should I try Amoresse Thymol or Reclaim first (even though I ordered the Thymol already--I'll do ANYTHING in ANY ORDER)?

I am so eager to hear your feedback. Sorry to bombard you with questions. Your feedback on these questions will be MUCH!!! appreciated.

Thank you in advance SO, SO much Marti. I'm EAGERLY waiting to hear from you. Sorry for all the questions!!

An Eager Student :D

If the heels of your feet and the bottom of your feet are cracked and have a build-up of skin, you may very well have a fungal skin infection. There are over-the-counter treatments for this. If you have a fungal infection of the skin, it can very well effect the nails as well, so you will need to treat both problems at the same time.

go to your local drug store and purchase one of the fungal skin treatments. If your nails are as bad as you say, I would start working on the toenails with the Reclaim AF, then switch to the Thymol after the nails show improvement. You can apply the Reclaim AF in the morning and the Thymol at night. The difference being that you will be wearing shoes during the day and the Reclaim will not evaporate like the Thymol will.

It can take upwards of a full year to completely heal the skin and nails, but if you start now and stick with it religeously, you will see improvement.

Fungus is not inherited through the genes. It can be transferred between family members by sharing manicure/pedicure implements, etc, or by walking barefoot on the same hard surface floors as other infected family members.

Marti,

Thank you so much for your advice--I really wanted to hear your input. I will also get the Reclaim then. I'll look for it in a drugstore (like Long's)? I'm very eager to get working on this!

Really? This can't be hereditary? I'm so surprised b/c several of my family members have had it foreverrrr--and we don't all live together. I am so excited to start working on this. I'll keep everyone posted--I love when others have left their progress/results on here for us.

THANK YOU AGAIN, MARTI!!!!! This will mean so much to me--because, yes, it's as bad as I said!
