BlessingsGalore 03-13-2006, 10:23 AM No I haven't but I too have heard a LOT about it lately. I have taken tumeric right off my spice rack for pain and let it dissovle in my mouth however and it helps. The thing that has helped me most is a homepathic med called TRAUMEEL.........it's the best thing I've ever taken by far for any of the hundred syndromes I've have. It got rid of sciatic, helps tremendously with the Arthritis, Fibro, Lupus etc. I also use the DMSO GEL and it helps a LOT ! MSM is another thing I take daily and wouldn't be without. :jester: tsohl 04-08-2006, 01:54 AM Could you write more about the Traumeel? Do you take pills or is it a lotion you apply to the skin? What does it do for you? Thanks!! Kissa 04-08-2006, 01:31 PM The Arthritis Association has a list of natural supplements and vitamins etc. One thing to keep in mind is if you ever have surgery and are on any type of these "remedies" you need to let your surgeon know because some of them can cause uncontrolled bleeding as well as other undesireable effects elmhar 04-09-2006, 03:39 PM Hi Betty, I can't use bromelain due to a pineapple allergy, sorry. However, I have tried turmeric in a few different incarnations. First, I got some of the bulk spice at the health food store & used about 1/2 tsp. as a tea (1 c. boiling water) like they do in India. Not too bad flavor-wise, & mild anti-inflam effect on my arthritis. This expt. only cost about 25 cents. My naturopathic doc suggested his Ayurvedic remedy that contained turmeric, ginger, and boswellia. It was a hard-pressed tab & gave me indigestion. But I can't say if it was from the ingredients or from the tablet, as I have trouble w/tablets. I have also tried a standardized extract combo of curcumin (the active ingred. in turmeric) & boswellia. It was in a capsule put out by NOW brand, and cost less than $10. That's the one I prefer. Best wishes. BlessingsGalore 04-10-2006, 10:20 AM Traumeel is in a sublingual tablet (let it melt under you tongue). I buy it off the internet, but not sure that I can give that info, but a google search will lead you. Just be sure to buy the HEEL brand. I take two a day. One in the morning and one about 1:00 PM after lunch. Hope this helps. It's the best antiflammatory I've ever taken in my life and boy have I been the gammit on anti's ! tsohl 04-10-2006, 11:42 AM Blessings Galore, Thanks for the info. I did a search a few days ago and found it on several websites but I didn't know if you used the tabs or the topical stuff. Glad to have the information. I will try it!! BlessingsGalore 04-10-2006, 11:52 AM I don't think you will be disapponted. I've been sick over 25 years and this is the med I'd take with me on a deserted island. I've only heard of a very, very few it didn't help. After I posted it on a fibro board, about 99% were helped a LOT. Let me know how it goes ok ? mamakitkat 05-03-2006, 01:32 AM Hi All, Just thought I would share a natural remedy for arthritis, I found it in local newspaper. I have found several people, including a 92 yr. old woman who has used this for over 20 years now and swears by it. Ready?? it is a lil strange sounding. Get golden raisins, put half of package in resealable container, cover raisins with Gin (yea gin), let it set out uncovered until gin is absorbed into raisins or evaporated. Cover and refridgerate, take nine raisins a day. I can tell ya I thought twice about this one, but it did make me feel much better, I can't take anti- inflam. due to spine fusion. There is such a small amount of gin it can't interact with other meds either. My Dr. gave me the green light to use. Good luck and God Bless! Carol  BlessingsGalore 05-03-2006, 02:35 PM So have you tried it yet ? Is it helping ? Another thing I just found is LICORICE....................wow......... ....this is big for fatigue and the pain. Might want to research it on google. It's really helping me. Helps adrenals too. And a hundred other things. :bouncing: babag 05-11-2006, 05:05 PM how much traumeel drops daily? i just received some in the mail. it comes in 2.2 vials. 10 vials cost $20. i thought someone said 10 drops on tongue daily. the vial looks like more than 10 drops. babag 05-11-2006, 05:11 PM traumeel- i received 10 vials in the mail today. each vial says 2.2ml. it then says take one vial a day but i remember someone on some quote said they took 10 drops on the tongue daily. now i don't know how much to take? 10vials cost $20. serendipity02 05-13-2006, 03:33 AM babag; I just read on a website for children over 11 and adults, to take 10 to 30 drops sublingually 3 times a day.
