There are many causes for Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and clammydia while it certainly can be a cause is not the only cause. If you are testing for PID, you would also have to test for the specific organism that is causing the problem. Therefore, you would have to test specifically for clammydia or gonorrhea in order to treat the problem. I think I've answered your question but, in re-reading it, I'm just not sure.
