I didn't post on this board very often (was mostly in the anxiety forum) but a year ago in January I found out I had high cholesterol of 266. My LDL was high, HDL was too low and trigs were almost 200. I was 23yrs. old at the time and very scared when I got these results. I found this board to be VERY helpful, informative and comforting to me.
I had my cholesterol tested again in November and had these results:
TC: 168
LDL: 92
HDL: 56
Trig: 100
with a ratio of 3.0
I did this with only diet and some exercise. Just wanted to say thanks for having such a great board! Even though I didn't post often, I was a lurker and found lots of comfort and wonderful information! Thank you!

Very impressive!!! Can U share exactly what U did and things U took to get such good numbers? Give yourself a pat on the back for doing such a good job. Bet the dr. was impressed too.
Keep up the good work, and congrats......

Thank you. I didnt' take anything to get the numbers down. I've always kept taking my prenatal vitamins since I had my daughter two years ago so I continued to take those as usual. I stopped eating fast food (only had it once a month or so), junk food, cookies, cakes, pop, ect. I really limited myself on the bad foods.
I started eating more chicken and fish and less red meat. I now cook with all fresh ingredients. Rarely do we ever use anything from a can or box anymore. Eating more fruits and veggies. Just basically following a good diet and my numbers went down.
I did exercise for awhile but now I don't have a daily routine. Just the everyday stuff of following around my 2yr. old (which is a lot).
