? I had cervical cord compression. Endoscopic Disectomy (No Fusion) surgery removed the compression/impingement (c4/5) level about a month ago. I don't know if area is still inflamed - too soon for follow-up MRI.
The cord was impinged in one spot (on the right) at this level for 18 months, prior to surgery. My injury seems to coincide at the corticospinal tract (which I've read to be responsible for postural/antigravity).
I have poor balance and shoulder pain on the right side and headache in the neck at the level of the injury up to the base of the skull.
To cut to the chase:
If the cord is impinged (not cut) will it heal? How long (I know each person is different) post surgical before I might see improvement?
Anyone regain their balance after spinal sugery? partucularily in the cervical spine.
