Hi Guys:

I got my results of my cd57. It was 84. Normal is 60-360. Burascano says in lyme patients they like it above 60 and that even though the range is 60-360, 200 is a normal range for cd57 in healthy people. I guess this is just another indication of lyme since technically I am sero-negative.

One thing that I noticed on this most recent cbc is that my white count is getting low-it was 4.0 which is the lowest it can be without being flagged low. I checked and the only thing that was listed as far as lyme goes and low wbc's is erlichiosis. I have been tested twice for the monocytic form of erlichia, which one of the I.D. guys brought to my attention that we do not have in Minnesota. We have the granulocytic erlichiosis here, so techically I have not been tested for erlichia.

I know erlichiosis supposedly starts with a very acute illness, fever, vomiting, anemia. etc. I don't recall having any of that recently, but am looking for input from those of you who do have Erlichiosis. What are your symptoms and how did it start?

Thanks guys I appreciate it...

Hi Frango,

I tested Ehrlichiosis + at LabCorp in 2000. After 1 month of Doxy I've never tested + again. Even having the test done at IgeneX it was -.

Hi Frango,

Glad you got back your results. I have Ehrlichiosis (or I did) for several years.

I tested with 3 +++'s from IgeneX for Ehrlichiosis. My symptoms were flu-like feelings, fevers (low and high), non-productive cough (went to special doctor for that), severe leg pain and severe pain in my colon (like a knife going through me and I would faint from the pain), and extreme fatigue where I was sleeping all the time. I had gotten so much better with Dr. J's treatment.

I never vomited or had problems with anemia. I know there was something not right about my white blood count, but the doctors didn't seem to be concerned about that.

I don't know if that helps any,
Denise

I tested + for the "cousin" of Ehrlichiosis I forget the name, and my LLMD was talking to me about it today!~ Crazy!

Hi Fotomom,

I didn't know Ehrlichiosis had a cousin, seriously! I know there is HME (human monocytic ehrlichiosis) and HGE (human granulocytic ehrlichiosis). I think I read about a new one called EGE???

Hi Frango  ,

I have erlichiosis, babesia and bartonella so its hard to break apart the symptoms. I do know that my white count is are 2.3 and gets as high as 4 when I had the flu. Now I haven't had my count checked in a while. I do know that my red count is really low too. They actually thought I had lymphomia. Sure glad that wasn't the case.

Good luck!

Hi Brid,

I think that since IgeneX already has your blood, I would call them up and ask them if they could test your blood for Bartonella because after reading about your symptoms, they really sound like Bartonella to me.

Of course you can also ask them to test your "existing" blood for Ehrlichiosis.

I hope that helps,
Denise
