Hello! My DH and I have been TTC for 11 months now and I just had an HSG done which came back normal. My H had a SA done and his count was 130 million sperm, his mobility was 57% but his Morphology which I guess is the shape was only 7% and they'd like it to be over 14%. Has anyone had a similiar situation? What were others results? Is this extremely low? I am talking to my doctor tomorrow and should get more answer but in the mean time I thought you can help me ease my mind a bit.
Any info would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!!

According to my info his sperm count would probrably be conciderd normal if his ejaculate contains more than 20 million sperm per millimeter and if the total number of sperm is at least 40 - 50 million. The percentage of those sperm that are of normal morphology and motility is a major factor but this does vary greatly.

Doing research the main two questions to ask your doctor tomorrow are 1) Is his sperm count concidered as normal, low or infertile?
2) How did the lab reach this conclusion?

Hope this helps and you get the information you require tomorrow.

Good luck :)

I'm in a similar situation (my husband has motility and morphology issues, plus DNA fragmentation). What made me feel good about your situation is the overall number of sperm. Maybe the morphology isn't great, but when there are SO MANY, doesn't that balance it out?

One would think that it would all balance out! My DH has a high sperm count as well. Is your DH on any of the male fertility vitamins?? My Doc had mentioned Concieve RX & Proxeed! Do you know anything about these??

He takes a multi, vitamin E, vitamin C, Selenium, and Folic Acid.
