Hello, I'm new to this board.
I am 25 and my symptoms are the following:

Chest tightness
Throat tightness
Shortness of breath
visual disturbances
bloodshot eyes
Post nasal drip
Pins and needles in arms and legs
Racing, pounding heart

I've been for a range of hospital tests and seen a cardiologist, who said he doesn't think it's my heart.

Could this be an allergy, and if so what is it likely to be? What sort of anti allergy meds should I take?

Any help would be very much appreaciated.
Cheers :)

I don't know about the pins and needles and visual disturbances, but the rest of your symptoms are symptoms of sino-bronchial syndrome. It is when a sinus infection drains into your chest causing your bronchial tubes to constrict. It can be constant, becoming bronchitis, or infrequent which causes doctors to mistake it for asthma, heart problems or anxiety attacks.

Have you seen your family doctor? You could have a sinus infection that is causing the lightheadedness etc. and it could be triggering asthma type symptoms. You could also have a combination of other things such as allergies, asthma and/or high blood pressure.

hope you feel better soon!
