My calf muscles continually twitch, and spasm. Although this doesn't bother me when I'm working or being active, it does seem to drive me crazy when I'm sitting down watching tv or something. I have had blood work, EMG, ect. all normal. Any suggestions to the cause for this? At some points I have twitches in other parts of my body, but they are continuous in my calf muscles on both sides. Thanks

Hi! I have the same symptoms except only in my left calf. Three years ago I had back surgery - a microdiscetomy. My guess is the nerve around my spine is being affected by scare tissue, but every doctor I've talked to says that this is not the case and that the twitching will go away. It's been 3 years, and it hasn't yet gone away.
Do you have any back problems that may be aggravating the nerve?
