I took my first plaquenil last night. They are 200 mg, and I'm supposed to take 2 per day.
I took my first one last night at 8:00 pm, and woke up this morning at 6:30, extremely itchy !! Is this normal? My stomache, back, neck and top of arms were itching so bad !! I rubbed hydrocortosone cream on them.
I went ahead and took another pill at 8:00 this morning, but now I'm worried I shouldnt' have.
Also - when taking pred, I'm taking it 3 x per day. Is it okay to take the pred at the same time you're taking the plaquenil? I've read on here I should be taking the plaquenil every 12 hrs, so that would be 8:00 am and 8 pm. Should I be sure not to take the prednisone at those same times or does it not matter?
I left a message for the doc this morning, but haven't heard back yet.
