I am in the process of getting all sorts of tests to find out if I have PCOS. Had an ultrasound which showed 10-15 cysts on each ovary so my gyn diagnosed me as PCOS. I have started going to an endocrinologist and he sent me for all sorts of blood work to find out what is going on. So far my prolactin level has come back high. It was 33.7. Next to the results was the range of 2.7-29.2 for a nonpregnant woman. I took a pregnancy test to make sure that I wasn't pregnant and it came back negative so it is just elevated. Has anyone had their prolactin level come back high? What did you dr tell you? What else did you have to do about it? I don't have my appt until March 1st so I can't ask him until then. But I just keep looking up stuff on the internet which isn't good because there is conflicting info. Some say PCOS has normal to low prolactin and others say some PCOS has high. Any info you have would be great! Thanks!

My prolactin levels were high as well. 44.1, and I was just diagnosed with a small pituitary tumor. Has your doctor ordered an MRI? Are you having any other symptoms?
