Hi April, I remember you! Were you away for awhile too? I had muscle twitches before they put me on Neurontin for neuropathy/restless leg syndrome. My doctor suspects I have both because I used to not be able to sit still from pains and spasms. But I also have the twitches and such in the rest of my right side. The neurontin seems to help this. I'm on the lowest dose possible and it's enough. No noticeable bad side effects. I was a little drowsy at first getting used to it.
I'm also on Mirapex for fibro which has helped some of my mysterious pains. It affects your dopamine levels and stops your brain sending false pain signals. I feel the need to explain "false". I don't mean that the PAIN is false but that the brain sends a FALSE SIGNAL to the body to feel pain which is 100% real. That's the latest fibro theory anyway. Mirapex has been tested on fibro patients for a decade now.
I'm sure it's not the answer for everyone but since all these diseases seem to like to hang around together it might be for some.
Cheerio! 2 tots
