View Full Version : Antibiotic Therapy for RA

Has anyone read, "The Road Back" by Thomas McPherson Brown and Henry Scammell?

I was first diagnosed with RA at 25yrs. For the last 2 years, I have been treating the symptoms of my RA by trying numerous medications. I am currently supposed to be on Humira 1xweek (double normal dose) and 10 pills of methotrexate/week (maximum dose). The next step for me would be to drop Humira and start Remicaid.

I had the realization that I am going to be on the strongest drugs available before I am 30 years old. These drugs will only work for so many years, then what? I am scared. This fear led me to a long, frantic night of searching to the ends of the internet to stumble upon a theory called Antibiotic Therapy. Has anyone else out there tried it? I am preparing to tell my rheumy on the next visit that it will be my next plan of attack, not remicaid.

I'd love some advice, info, support! If anyone has tried this, please let me know!!!

Keep on fightin'.

Hi all,

It sounds like were all on the same page. I didnt enjoy taking drugs, but initially i thought that was the only way. However over time i learned that there is a much more natural way to deal with arthritis.

Seriously, there are lots of things we can do to, even sitting at home that can help us reduce the pain, stiffness, and swelling if not eleviate it completely. Now i dont use any medications at all, and i do feel alot better, both inside and out.
