Hi, I am 23 and a couple of months ago I went to the hospital for an ongoing headache. They did some blood work and remember the doctor coming back and saying that there was no problems and that my liver was functioning properly. Now, lately I have been getting sick after drinking for a few day. I dont have an appetite and have nausea in the morning. My abdomen feels kinda of tense all the time. Now should I worry about a liver problem if the doctor a few months ago said that my liver was functioning properly? I dont know what tests they were but they were pretty basic. I am worried that I have inflammation of my liver or something.

Are you receiving any other symptoms other than nausea and loss in appetite? It doesn't strike me as being a liver problem, but it could definately be something in your abdomen. Therefore, get a referral to see a Gastroenterologist from your family physician. He'll do the appropriate tests for your liver and inform you whether or not you have an inflammed liver. There are some tell tale signs when inflammation occurs, so if he/she does the appropriate test, they'll be able to tell you right away.
Good luck!
