 My doc recently put me on 100mg seroquel. The probelm I have is anxiety. Was just taken off of the benzos. Any feed back with seroquel would be appreciated.

seroquel, an older antipsychotic is completely unsuitable for anxiety, IMO
it was prescribed for anxiety about 30 years ago and some older docs are still fond of it
valium and perhaps an antidepressant are much better

After years of all the SSRI's my Dr. finally put me on Seroquel. I personally find that it does help. Yes, it is an older med, and used for psychosis, but as with so many medications they have found that there are new uses for the medications, Example; Klonopin was oriiginally an anti-siezure medication.
Depakote was also used for seizures, then they found that it works to help prevent migraine headaches,
Just a thought :)

My doc put me back on klonopin this morning. I think I will still use seroquel because it was helping with sleep. Now for the Remeron. I think this drug is making me really spacey during the day. Started cutting it in half last night (15mg cut in two). Last night was the first night on 7.5 and can I tell you I did not sleep but maybe 3 hours. Anxiety all day. I could handle it better with the klonopin though. I think I will take 7.5 tonight and the next night maybe skip. Any thoughts?
