Just curious if anyone has tried this...I'm going to give it a whirl. I have bad bowels. It can't hurt I figure but it seems like it might be hard on one with fibro. I'm going to check out the colon board.
I know it's one of those things we all don't talk about
Thanks for your input!

HIya 2tots,
Do you mean colonic irrigation? If so, personally I have always thought that this was such a severe course to take, especially if as you say you have bowel problems. A reputable doctor wouldn't sanction this type of treatment if you did have bowel problems. You have to be so very, very careful. You might ven end up with more problems if you have invasive procedures like this. Please take care, and make sure know exactly what it entails.
If you don't mean this, what is it you mean?

Hi Golden,
I'm talking about herbal supplements. You can use enemas but that is optional. My doctor actually prescribed enemas for my problems and as physical therapy for my sphincter from holding it in. I have some damage from surgeries. Anyway I'm doing an herbal cleansing. I was just wondering if anyone had tried any supplements at all or the hydrotherapy.
Thanks for responding:)

Well I survived detoxing and cleansing and it was actually a great thing. I wasn't expecting to achieve the dramatic results everyone talks about but after taking pain pills, etc. for three years and having anesthesia four times it seemed like a good idea to clean my system out. Since starting neurontin I hardly ever take codeine or flexaril anymore.
I did a 10 day prep taking an herbal parasite killer and then a 7 day fast with smoothies, tea and broth while taking an herbal colon cleanser. I had plenty of calories every day and wasn't hungry. Afterwards my body accepted solid food again just fine.
I look younger and feel younger. I sound like a lame commercial but I really do feel better inside. My gut doesn't hurt anymore. All the puffiness left my face from my sinuses and lymph glands draining of poisons. My eyes look bigger and my skin is softer.
So if you are considering it just know that I'm a big baby and I did it with good results. I wouldn't recommend trying it if you still require pain meds and such daily as it would be fighting a losing battle and probably make you feel awful.
Just an FYI not a testimonial!

Hiya 2tots,
I am so pleased for you. It must be such a relief not having to have all of the meds and best of all relief from the horrid stomach pain. For it to give you an improvement with your skin and other parts of your body is great.
Good on you for giving it a go and I hope it is beneficial to you for a long time. I like the sound of the broth, tea and smoothies too - just my type of food mmmm !!
Take care.

Hi I'm really interested in what you used.
Can you give details?

I think that is the best thing you can do for yourself. Especially if you are on pain meds since they constipate you. Or at least they do me. A clease will get thoses good ol' bowels moving again and that is what you want. After that cleanse you can start on a parisite cleanse. Do a good one. They are the little critters that make us all sick. Then go on to a Candida cleanse. I believe Fibro is a yeast issue. All the info and research I have read indicate that. Search the web and find out. Good luck to you. If you need help on how to do these things email me.
