cloverdaze 02-27-2006, 09:06 AM Does anyone else get dizzy? I'm dizzy all the time and I always feel like I'm going to fall over or pass out. I feel like I'm having to strain my eyes. My jaw aches. My neck and my shoulders hurt. Random chest pains. Wake up with a pounding heart beat out of nowhere. Major trouble falling asleep. I feel like I'm 80 years old and I'm only 24! This is seriously ridiculous. All my time is spent on thinking that I'm dying, convinced that it will be any day now. I have all these scenarios in my head and I am so terrified. I don't know how to make it go away. I always feel like I'm the only person on the planet that feels this way, but reading this board helps a lot because I see that it's not just me. That makes me feel good (to know I'm not alone) and bad (to know that other people have to suffer through this too). If anyone has any stories or advice or anything, that would be great.
keepsgoin 02-27-2006, 09:36 AM Do you possibly have high blood pressure? Are you on the BC pill(It doesn't say if you male or female). Are you on any medication? I have read that anxiety can cause dizziness...I have felt this dizziness before when I was very upset about something but only slightly, not all the time.
cloverdaze 02-27-2006, 10:01 AM I am female, it's weird it doesn't say that. As far as I know I don't have high blood pressure. I was at the hospital about 10 days ago and it was 121/79. I'm not on BC or any meds. The dizziness is only as of recently. I couldn't look it up online because then I would focus on all the bad things it could possibly be, so my boyfriend looked it up for me and told me the first thing that came up was 'symptom of anxiety.' :-/
boobo0 02-27-2006, 10:02 AM All appears to be signs of anxiety, but you still must see doc to rule out anything physical. I read your post and think to myself "been there done that" lol, and still doing that. There is alot of help out there but first you must stand up to your anxiety and not let it take control of your life.
Take care and good luck!!
cloverdaze 02-27-2006, 10:09 AM Thank you :)

You are not alone. I've felt these same symptoms, (and more!) at one time or another. I do get the "dizzy afraid I'm going to fall over or pass out" feelings alot. My jaw feels tense and tight, my throat feels tight sometimes too. My neck is very sore quite often. The pounding heart thing is VERY familiar to me too! I've had MANY tests and all have come back normal leading to a diagnosis of anxiety and fibromyalgia. The anxiety is probably what brought on the fibro and it definitely makes it worse. I hope you feel better soon!
Trishac 02-27-2006, 04:17 PM Strangely enough i've felt like this lately aswell...
The past month i've been out of school/work for severe abdominal pain, vomiting, diahreha and loss of appetite.... I've had every test under the sun but found nothing... i have a CT scan this week though...
But last night, i was making dinner and I fainted... out of no where... just suddenly felt dizzy and kaboom down i went.
The docs have suggested maybe i have an anxiety problem because i'm having such tummy issues but my labs show nothing... is fainting a common side effect of Anxiety ??
I often feel quite dizzy if I stand up too fast, im usually inches from blacking out... very strange.. so you're not alone mate!!
I've also had really bad jaw pain lately, and terrible headaches.
musicftm 02-27-2006, 05:17 PM yes! i have those exact symptoms. though sometimes my heart beats hard too. i dont know if it is anxiety or not and i also dont know if you and i have the same thing but it sounds the same. my doc put me on some medicine for anxiety and it has helped a very little bit. well keep us posted and i will do the same for you.
kw123 02-28-2006, 09:09 AM Hi, I'm Kristin and i have suffered with anxiety and panic for 8 years now. I also feel dizzy all the time. I have had all the test done and everything is normal. I also fear I'm going to die and that i have some disease that has been over looked. I check my pulse, pupils, and blood pressure 24/7. i am obsessed with my health and what disease I think I have. If you need to talk ,I'm here.
comeandrelax 02-28-2006, 06:30 PM im also dizzy/lightheaded all the time. it all started after having 2 really bad anxiety attacks and then i went all lightheaded and it got worse from there. i would get headaches and feel weird if i moved my head too much. i was told it was an inner ear problem and did some tests for it and came back inconclusive. so im stressing out about an inner ear problem and along with anxiety and the fact that its been going on for 5 months. i would think its an inner ear thing but my hearing tests are fine and my balance seems fine. i know for a fact i have problems with anxiety.
when you say your dizzy all the time. what exactly are you feeling? are you being treated??
i would maybe look into inner ear infection cause the symptoms of that can mimic anxiety.....but also visa versa
cloverdaze 02-28-2006, 08:13 PM It's like sort of a vibration in my head, I feel off balance sometimes. I feel like things are spinning or moving. It's not entirely constant, but it's enough o bother me. I partly wonder if it's all just in my head or not. It's so frustrating. I don't have money to go to the doctor. Ugh. :(
comeandrelax 03-01-2006, 12:42 AM you guys should look into inner ear problems.....a general doctor won't know anything about it you need to look into neurologists. ive been told this and i looked into it and there are alot of people that feel that their dizziness and that kind of stuff is all mental but you could have actual physical stuf thats causeing it. check out the inner ear disorders board for more info.......an inner ear infection has no other weird symptoms.....a doctor can not possibly look in your ear and see and inner ear problem....thats why its hard to diagnose.
i still don't know for sure where mine is coming from.....if its inner ear related in most cases it goes away with time....where as anxiety will go away only if you treat it. inner ear infections cause by a common cold or a virus (yes can happen and does very often) you can't do anything but wait it out. its crazy but true.
the fact is everyone with inner ear problems have anxiety cause its in the same area of the body that causes it. thats why the symptoms are almost exactly alike.
i do feel better knowing that you guys also feel off balnce or woozy and lightheaded all the time. that could be anxiety disorders and that is very treatable.
