Has anyone experienced weight gain from Provigil? I am interested in taking it for seasonal depression and related fatigue. I have gained 20+ lbs on Effexor, Paxil, Buspar, and Wellbutrin! Some of those actually promise weight lose! I seem to have an abnormal reaction to some medications. Recently, I have come upon another message board where people are citing major weight gain associated with this medication. Has anyone experienced this?

I see it's rx'd for sleep disorders, but is rx'd off label a lot as well. For just about many things, including energy and wakefulness (duh). It's like so many other meds; it can go either way with the weight gain or loss, depending on the individual. Oh, Wellbutrin makes you gain weight too? Dang, that's gotta be rough. It's just not right to ADD weight to ourselves when feeling depressed... :p If you try it, let us know how it goes, or what other solution you come up with.

Did you gain on Wellbutrin? If so, what have you tried and not gained on?
