is normal that when you see a bright light (f.e. a lamp light) and then turn off lights so you are in a very dim room, you can see like a black spot with the shape of the light?

It happened to me yesterday again. I was driving at night and when a car passed in the opossite road (I looked at the lights of the car just for 1 second), then when I blinked I saw two black spots (they were darker than the night,I don't know how to explain it) with a shape like the lights of the car.
After 1 minute I could not see the black spots anymore.

thx!!

yes its normal to see black spots after looking at bright light. your eyes need time to adjust to the new surroundings. you see the spots because the cells in your eyes get "bleached out" after exposure to light and need to regenerate. you are perfectly fine. :)
