Hi,
Everywhere you look you see hair products to promote volume. I do not need volume. When my hair is down I can easily pass for a witch or Medusa.
My hair is naturally wavy (especially in the back, underneath) and I have a TON of it. It is one length (I was told layering it would make it worse) and I have to wear it up every day because I get hot as heck if I leave it down. It's a bit below my shoulders. I AM grateful for the blessing a full head of hair, but I can't seem to find any products that are for my hair type. It's also hard to find detanglers. I've tried VO5 and some other grapefruit deal... For conditioner I have to buy from reg stores, not salons. or I'd go broke. I have to use a lot of conditioner and it's still a pain to comb through.
I've thought about trying a detangler from the African American hair section? :S I don't know...
Any tips?
Thanks!

I have the same problem. My hair is very thick & course. The only time it looks ok is if I straighten it, And that takes way too much time. So I do what you do, pull it back. I have such healthy hair, I just don't know what to/use with it...

Yeah, I use a straightening iron when I do straighten it and it takes at least an hour...but like you, it looks best that way. Hopefully someone can help us!
