I woke up in the middle of the night last night, and just couldnt stop shaking. my legs, my hands, my arms, pretty much everything. Is this a normal symptom of an anxiety attack, or is it something abnormal.

could be anxiety or several other things including low blood sugar, tell doc about it, might have been a nocturnal panic attack

i dont think it was a low blood sugar issue. after i calmed down a bit i started to feel a little better. throughout the day today though i was still kindy shaky, not really visibly though, just kinda felt like it. i think it may just be because im still kinda tired since i didnt sleep well last night. any ideas?

Are you taking any kind of medication that you might have missed taking last night?
I have tremors 24/7 that I hate (essential tremors).
Besides the ET, the only time I had a really bad tremor in the middle of the night was when I forgot to take my effexor.
But like right now....i'm shaky all over, inside and out.

Hi ya,
I just thought i'd add that I shake with anxiety, really bad like a giant vibrator, I feel shaky for a time after almost exactly as you desribe, it is worth mentioning to your dr so everything else can be ruled out.
I was at the dentist shakin away, i cant hide it so i dont worry about it!
Good luck, hope things get better for you ;)

thanks for the replies. i havent had too much problem with the uncontrolled shakiness since, but since then ive started to get to points where i feel very hot. usually in my back/neck, and then upper legs. i dont have a fever and i dont technically feel hot on the outside, but anytime i lay down or sit down the seat/bed feels warm after i get up. i think this might just be another thing to do with anxiety though. anyone have this problem too?

HAve you been to your dr with your symptoms and had checks to make sure it is just anxiety?

yea, i went a few months ago, and he said it was just anxiety. i just never had the symptoms quite so badly. they seem to be subsiding a little bit though, which is good.
