For the past 9 months or so, I have been having pain at mid-cycle. It feels like gas pains but I also have feelings of pressure in my pelvic area. This is only around the time that I ovulate and the gas like pains alternate from side to side each month.
Could this be normal ovulation pains or a sign of ovarian cancer? I had multiple vaginal ultrasounds a few months ago because I was pregnant (then miscarried) and everything seemed normal. The pressure continued on and off during the pregnancy but not the gas like pains.
I don't have any of these symptoms at any other time during the month.
I'm going to see my doctor on the 16th now that I've noticed the pattern but I want to be proactive and know what to ask him about.

That pain that you feel each month at mid cycle when you ovulate is called "mittleshmertz"( I may have misspelled it). Sometimes it is accompanied by blood tinged mucous or just plain egg-white type mucous. I asked my doctor about it once and it is normal.
