I am beginning to think there is a connection between the two for me. I recently have also been reading alot about this on the internet so I am sure there is a connection.

I have been battling high bood pressure (normal most of the time with spikes inbetween) which started right after the birth of my child. Since that birth my hormones have never been the same.

Of course these spikes lead to anxiety which lead to stress and it makes me think I am going crazy and my body is out of my control.

Anyone out there that can relate?

Here's what I picked up on the net....

Hypertension (high blood pressure) has many causes. Estrogen dominance is one of them. Excess estrogen negatively affects cell membranes by allowing an influx of sodium and water and a loss of potassium and magnesium. The result is hypertension.
Extensive studies done by Dr. Milton G. Crane brought him to the conclusion that estrogen dominance, and the use of oral contraceptive agents, were a major cause of hypertension in women. When the hormones are balanced with the supplementation of natural progesterone - blood pressure returns to normal.
If you are on diuretics or other anti-hypertension drugs and using progesterone, you should monitor your blood pressure. As your blood pressure comes under control you will need to reduce or eliminate the anti-hypertension drugs gradually, as needed, to prevent low blood pressure.

...ahhh something to think about...

Hi Ladies
I have to comment on this one.....Last month my chiropractor took my blood pressure and said it was high 138/90 . Over that week, it was always high sometimes 155/99 (This was also my week of ovulation). Well the week of my cycle and the week after I was perfect 117/77 or 112/79 never higher than 120/80. Now here I am at day 14 (ovulation again) and my blood pressure is back up to 140/96 !! Can your hormones really have this effect and should this type of bp be treated? Thanks ladies for any imput.L
