Hey everyone,

Thought I would make the official announcement here.

I'm NOT Bipolar.

After seven years of mis-diagnosis and mis-medication I am now better.

In less than ONE year with my current Psychiatrist and his Psychotherapist
I have received...

1) an accurate personality definition.
2) a huge chunk of psychotherapy.
3) the help I was always looking for.
4) a diagnosis of why I was, the way I was.
5) one simple medication to help the imbalance created by childhood trauma.
6) an 'official' cure and dishcharge from medical care.

I am now 'officially' normal ~ well, as normal as I could ever get...

I thought the friends I collected along the way with my 'experiments' would appreciate the posting of this thread and its contents.

Hedge ~ (now :) )

Hi Hedge,
So you're not bi-polar.....do you have PTSD?
Good luck to you, I'm glad you found a doc you are happy with!

Hi Hedge! After all this time you don't have to be Bipolar to belong here... You know enough to be a lifelong member!
Stop in anytime and stay awhile!

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU.

Rose: I am similar to a p.t.s.d. sufferer. Basically my personality type (anxious perfectionist) was developed due to constant physical, mental and emotional abuse during childhood. This also stretched into adulthood. Now at least I found medication to correct the imbalance this caused. 'hello normality'

Ruthie: I look forward to hanging around, especially if my friends are still here.

Mud: My friend. Hope things are better for you. If I can help YOU in any way, I'm here.

Princess: I'm SO happy for you. I can't believe your son is that old already. Well done. I said things would get better for you after a while.

Thank you to you ALL for making me feel welcome. I intend to stick around. I am fortunate/UNfortunate enough to be experienced in most of what goes in on this board, so I might be able to help a few more people.
