Momof2kids2005 03-01-2006, 10:49 PM how do u take waterproof mascara off is there a certain makeup remover or something that helps take it off since it is waterproof? Sponsor KimC2005 03-02-2006, 06:15 PM I know several people that use petroleum jelly to get their eye make-up off especially water proof mascara. But there are several eye make up removers out there Revlon makes one and so does L'Oreal to remove mascara. SophiaM 03-03-2006, 02:37 PM The absolute best eye-makeup remover for waterproof mascara (or any mascara, really) is Lancome's Bifacile. It's not as cheap as the drugstore brands, though, so I would only use it for waterproof mascara. For regular mascara, L'Oreal's remover works great. tUrRrRa 03-05-2006, 04:11 AM If you are tight on cash, a good way to remove makeup is to just use a moisturizer or lotion/cream. I will put some on a tissue and lightly dab my eyes and it will remove it. I used to not have any makeup remover and somebody told me this and it works great!! My face wash works well but tends not to get all of the mascara off if I wear waterproof. I told my friend about this and it worked for her too. It really helps.. especially when you wash your face and it ends up smearing under your eyes and stuff! UK Chick 03-05-2006, 05:05 PM I use SIMPLE eye make up remover. Its clear in colour and has written on the front, for waterproof mascara. It only costs £3 and I think its fantastic! Lauralouise 03-06-2006, 10:57 AM I always use baby lotion, it gets your makeup off really well and it makes my skin feel lovely and soft. baby oil is just as nice too but i prefer the lotion. islander81 03-08-2006, 04:45 AM ponds cold cream or plain ol vaseline take it all out. just dab it on, rub lightly for a couple of seconds, and then take a paper towel/tissue and wipe it off. i use contacts and it doesnt irritate my eyes either. Momof2kids2005 03-12-2006, 10:08 PM thanks everyone for the replies :) Constant 03-12-2006, 10:57 PM Cetaphil facial wash is excellent. It saves much money as you use it for both your face and your eye area. SophiaM 03-13-2006, 12:07 AM Oh I forgot, also Neutrogena makeup remover is very good for waterproof mascara, and a lot cheaper than the Lancome one! MommaBee 03-13-2006, 03:07 AM Baby oil or cold cream. sapphire99 04-01-2006, 03:27 PM My favorite is Cover Girl's eye makeup remover. I have tried so many and none work as well as this one. Most eye makeup removers are oil like and clear, but Cover Girl's is more lotion looking and white. On the plus side it is only around 3 dollars, and it is very easy to find, even in grocery stores!! And if you are looking for a truly water-proof mascara then I would suggest Cover Girl's Marathon mascara (the one in the green tube). I went on vacation in Cancun and was in the water all day, and it never smeared! One thing though, it is harder to get off, the only thing I could get it off with is what I recomended, but even then I had to rub it in and let it sit for a minute before I washed it off. Hope this helps! |
