Lauren,
I haven't heard from you in some time. How are you doing? So far, so good for me! My mood is pretty good and I have been back to exercising for 3 weeks now. I have had a problem with my thyroid meds though. I am hypo, but have become hyper for the last 4 months. I switched doctors who did the whole blood work up. TSH, Free T3 and T4, B-12, Folate, and CBC. Everything was ok, except T3 was elevated, which is hyper. Also WBC Count was low. I am still so tired and fatigued that I really hate it. I think I can keep being "happy" without Wellbutrin if I could just knock this fatigue and achey legs and feet stuff. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif
How have you been? Hope everything is ok.

Hey there Bellajoon! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif
I'm doing pretty good. I've been tired lately, though. I'm pretty sure it's the thyroid, but I haven't been back to my endocrinologist in a long time. The one that my GP recommended I didn't like a whole lot and I haven't been back since.
That's great that you've been exercising! I really wish that I could get back into it. I keep telling myself that I'm going to take a walk after work or at lunchtime, and I just haven't been able to do it. I'm usually too concerned about what to make for dinner! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/tongue.gif
As far as the depression goes, I've been feeling SO much better over the past few weeks. Monday night I got kind of down because I got 5 doctor bills in the mail and I was feeling rather frustrated by that. They just never seem to stop coming! But on Tuesday and Wednesday I was proactive in paying bills and formulating a plan to get out of debt, so that made me feel really good about myself. Today I went to my therapist and she commended me on all the progress that I've made, so I'm feeling pretty darn good this afternoon! I don't remember if I mentioned it, either, when I saw my doc last week, she decided to up my dosage of Lexapro to 15 mg, and I've been taking that for almost a week now. I guess it's helping me more, but I thought that before I was at this dosage that I was doing pretty well. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/confused.gif
How are you making out with the whole foods stuff? Do you think that that's helping you out? I've read that taking Selenium with the thyroid meds are supposed to help, and I've been doing that for the past week or two, I haven't really noticed any difference.
I'm sorry that you're so tired! I know how awful it feels. I'm still like that pretty much every day. My boyfriend teases me that I would be happy if I stayed in bed all day, and he's up at 6am with no difficulty. I just don't think that he understands how hard it is for me to get up in the morning, and why I am so tired all the time. It's really a struggle for me to make it past 10 pm. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/yawn.gif
Let me know how you are doing! I hope that the yucky feelings go away for you!

Lauren,
Glad to hear you are ok. I know that paying bills can be a bit overwhelming, but when they are done, it feels like a great accomplishment http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I am still on the whole food supplement, haven't noticed any burst of energy, but probably because of my T3 being elevated. I can't believe my old doctor didn't check it again, and if I wouldn't have changed doctors, I wouldn't have been tested for a year! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif I will be checked in another 6 weeks with this new doc. I have to split pills because there isn't one inbetween the one I was taking. I am getting excited because my twin boys are both going to their senior prom, and this will be their first dates http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/round.gif They are also graduating June 5th. I am so proud of them! I know I will need a box of tissues for this event.

Hi there Bellajoon!
Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, work has been pretty hectic and I never seem to have enough time to do fun things like post! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif
I have been so incredibly exhausted lately http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/yawn.gif...I even decided to take a nap at lunch, and I overslept! I figured that I would just take a 20-30 minute "power nap" and instead, I woke up an hour and a half later!! Oops!
I know what you mean about the doctor thing, I'm going to change docs, because my last one wasn't the greatest at follow-up. Something is definitely wacky with either my thyroid meds or something else with my body. My boyfriend is convinced that I have chronic fatigue syndrome (which is possible, I suppose, because I had mono about 10 years ago). I remember them saying that it could recur whenever I get worn down. Argh, it's hard to tell what anything is anymore, with having depression and this hypo stuff both causing fatigue and all these crappy aches and pains... I feel like I'm 23 going on 80!
Congratulations on your boys going to the prom and on their nearing graduation! That is so exciting! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I bet they are great kids, with you as a mom. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif
Did you ever find anything out about therapy? Let me know how you're doing! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hi Lauren,
I too have been exhausted! I shut my eyes on my lunch hour but am afraid I will fall asleep and not wake up. It does feel good to just lay there with my eyes shut http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/round.gif
My chiropractor did a test for my adrenal glands and told me I need to try a supplement. He is also into nutrition and allergies. I just got it in the mail today and will try it tommorrow. I just want to feel better. I have been ok in the depression area. I have my moments, but I think that is life. Still haven't gotten around to therapy. I have to pay all my other bills first, chiro, physical therapist, new doctor, etc. Thanks for saying that nice stuff! It makes me very happy http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
Have a great evening! Do something special for yourself http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif
