I am so glad that I went to my orthopedic doctor!!! I feel so much better about what is going on. We still don't know exactly what is causing my upper back pain, but he was very open and honest with me. He showed me the films from the MRI, and said that for the most part things look fine. However, there was one small area that showed up bright white. He said that it could very well be "osteolyte osteoma", which is a benign tumor filled with fluid. He said isn't anything major to be worried about, and that if it turns out to be that, we would figure out what the next step would be. He is sending me for a bone scan a week from Monday. I go back to him the next day, so we'll find out the results then. I feel much calmer now, knowing that I am working with a doctor who knows that we need to get to the bottom of this problem. With the other doctors I've seen, I felt like they could care less about what was going on. Anyway, just thought I would give everyone an update.
