I have been taking vicoprofen for a month now and just started (the last week) to get stomach pains after taking it. Probably 30 minutes after taking my dose. It's like a nauseous feeling. Is this normal? Should I contact my doctor about it. I have an appointment with them on Tuesday but would love to know what you all think.

By all means, call your doctor. If you're reacting to the medication, he might give you something just for pain w/o the anti-imflamitory med. Good luck.

Stop taking it NOW ! I went through the same thing but i kept taking it over a period of time and now i have "Beretts esophagus " That stuff is very bad on your stomach. I wish i never took it , now i have a very sever condition from it and have to take prevasid for the rest of my life and hope it doesnt get any worse.

Zo6: You poor thing, I just read what Barettes was and it does not sound good. Thanks for the advice. I called my doctor and they put me on Ultram. I hope it works, but I have a feeling it won't be strong enough for me.

Take care of yourself and make sure you get yearly sceenings of your throat!!!!
