OK, long story short:

Had a badddddddd diverticulitis about 3 weeks ago after taking LODINE for arthritis.

About a week later, my chest started hurting very badly. Then it seemed to hurt, just on the left side, all the way through the back.

Finally after many anacids and some pushing from folks, I went to EMR Doc.

They did an EKG and an x-ray...that revealed nothing out of the norm.

I was suppose to have a CAT SCAN of lower abdomen yesterday for the diverticulitis, but was hurting so badly in my chest, I cancelled and went to the EMR DOC instead..............PLUS I could drink the barium...kept coming up. I don't do well with that kind of thing.

I'm not having much reflux at all..........and no indegstion.........no burning.

JUST SEVERE CHEST PAIN. Doc gave me Librax and it got better immediately last night. This morning, it's right back.

Even after one librax, it's still hurting..........what I call GRUNTING PAIN.

ANYONE ELSE have this kind of pain with GI problems.

I'm having a FULL cardiac workup on Monday just to make sure. Doc said he wouldn't feel comfortable not doing it. I agree.

ANYONE HAVE THIS ? This chest pain is SEVERE !

Eosinophilic Esophagitis can cause symptoms that feel very similar to heart attack... Many people have reported this... The esophagus gets inflamed and the pain apparently radiates into the chest...

The only way to get a definitive diagnosis is to have a scope and have the GI take tons of biopsies... Hope you get an answer and that your heart is fine..
