Hi:

Has anyone else found that they have real ups and downs during the month?

I've been charting my lousy days and have found a real pattern in where during they month they fall. I start feeling lousy about day 2 of my cycle and by day 9 (today) I'm reduced to nausea, killer headaches, exhaustion, insomnia, anxiety, tension and nightmares. It tends to clear up around day 14 and the remainder of the month, until I get my period is pretty good.

I've charted the last 4 months and there's a real pattern. I'm guessing that the bad period during the month is where the hormones really fall out of whack and then as they stabilize, I get some pretty normal days.

I have found that now that I can see a pattern, I can manage the days when things are rough a whole lot better.

Yes, I think I see a pattern around ovulation for a few days and then again around when my period starts...but sometimes this connection is not always so obvious! I think I tend to feel a bit better when all ovarian hormones are higher...second half of the cycle...I think...again I can have an "off" month! Pixiek

In the four years that I've been dealing with all degrees of peri symptoms I have yet to find a pattern. Before my symptoms became severe I was able to say that I felt bad the week before my period. Nowadays I just take one day at a time. :)

I've have always seen a pattern even when it was just PMS. All I know is I am so thankfull for these boards. I talk to some people about it and they act like I'm crazy. And they would say mine was over before I new I was going through it. And I felt like I was going crazy, either that or dying of some horrible disease. I don't know how it can be so easy for some people and so debilitating for others. When I found this board it helped so much because people had the same symptoms as I did and I didn't feel so alone anymore. When I have a really bad month which seems to happen every five or six months this board comforts me just reading. I am usually unable to even type because everything is an effort but it is such reassurance. Thanks everyone!
