when i wake up in the night my left eye doesnt open straight away doctor doesnt know what it is has anyone one heard of this before?

It doesn`t sound very "funny" to me... :p Sorry take no offense. I am personally in chronic eye pain so I got to find some humor somewhere... How long does it take to open? Could be a neuro-muscular glitch of some sort, see if your doc can refer you to a specialist. The body usually lets you know in no uncertain terms if something serious is wrong... Hopefully it is not interfering with your quality of life.

it only takes a few seconds to open but my doctor didnt think it was anything to worry about
