Ok..
so after 1.5 years of suffering..
being told i had IBS all the time..
my gastros found out what i have.
apparantely there is a very small muscle, connected to our tailbone, and in the other end to the end of the sigmoid area..
i cant seem to relax this muscle, which is relaxed in "normal" people.
now his suggested treatment is biofeedback.
i was in a biofeedback session.. didnt had much difference..
but i was wondering, will kegel (pc muscles) exercises help?
i mean.. do i really need to strenghen the muscle? will making the muscle work, can actually loosen it up a bit at the end?
any help or links to related articles will be much appreciated..
thanks abunch guys! (and gals) for being here ;)

The exercise may work but I really don't know??

For all muscles in the body to function properly-- you need to have an adequate amount of magnesium. Every cell in your body contains magnesium including all muscles.
Magnesium is present in alot of food but I have seen articles that say about 80% of people lack this mineral.

I have found that the best absorbed type is the chelated magnesium --- the magnesium is bonded to a protein amino acid that is readily absorbed. The brands that I have used is Solgar, Doctor's Best. Kal and Carlson. The process is patented by Albion Labs in Utah and sold International to supplement manufactuers.

You can get a blood test that screens magnesium but that only tests the amount that is in your blood serum --- not the amount at the cellular level.

I wish you well~~~Harry

Biofeedback is a muscle education process. Just like going to school for one day doesn't make you smart, typically many biofeedback sessions are needed before muscles truly "learn" a new & different habit.

Success with biofeedback may also depend on the practioner to some extent. Try to find someone who is skilled in dealing with your particular type of problem.

If you want to go the exercise route & be successful, I'm wondering whether a physical therapist would be helpful. Again, you'd want one experienced w/this particular muscle glitch.

Best wishes.
