Hi. I am nauseous and don't feel any relief from the depression. I went directly from lexapro to cymbalta (as my dr. told me to do).
I did 30 mg. now I'm up to 60 mg. I thought for sure when I got to 60 mg. that I would notice some improvement.
Did any of you go through this? How long does it take to feel the good effects? Is this normal to go through the bad side effects before you feel well?
I'd hate to go back to lexapro, it did wonders for my depression, but I had terrible cravings and gained 50 lbs.
Please give me some input. I really do appreciate it.
I can't call the dr. until Monday. I'm so tired of looking for an A.D.

I was on Lexapro and it reduced my seizure threshold so badly that I had a seizure right in my psychiatrist's office ! He got me started on Lamictal, up to 400 mg per day, and now has added Cymbalta 60 mg. You're right -- I don't feel much relief from my depression ; it only makes me tired. Of course, my girlfriend telling me she just wants to be good friends because she can't handle my depression probably isn't helping matters either !!
