Hi, I;m 20 yrs old and have been experiencing back pain for several years now. I was a dancer since I was three years old, and continued till I was 18. Over that time I developed pain in my back due to numerous knots. When I was about 18, the pain had moved more into my neck so I had started to go to a chiropractor. For the time I saw him he did help my back pain improve, he said that I had a lot of tension in my upper shoulders. I havent seen the dr in about 2 years and my neck pain has gotten worse. Just by tilting my head to either side, my neck cracks, pops and grinds and it feels as if the main spreads from there to my head & down my back. This used to happen only in the mornings, but now happens frequently throughout the day. Due from this, it seems as if i have a headache for 24 hours a day and the tension and stiffness in my neck lasts for longer periods of time. When someone massages my back you can feel several knots throughout it, that initiate pain when they are touched. Also, just to note, ever since the cracking in my neck started to increase, other joints throughout my body have started to crack. Could all of this be from the transition from being a dancer for so long then stopping?....Anyway, I have no idea if anyone can help me with this, but if you have any input in what my problem may be or how I can improve, I would greatly appreciate it. I really can't handle the pain and uncomfortability.
thanks for your time!
