Hi everyone, I just had a question! I have (had) a wisdom tooth that's completely decayed and broke, bit by bit over time. (Was unable to afford dental work) Only about 20 percent of it remains, and what broke off was never a pretty sight. I will be trying to go and have it looked at soon, but I read a small newspaper article the other day that really concerned me. It was an article on baby tooth care, but it mentioned that tooth decay (I suppose the bacteria), though rare, could spread to the eye or brain. This was extremely unsettling, and I was wondering if that was a possibility in adults as well? Could the worst case scenario be as the article mentioned, or simply just the loss of the tooth? I hope this isn't too dumb a question, but after reading the article, it freaked me out! :eek:
