Does this seem right? I've been on prednisone for 2 weeks now, going on 3. I've been on 15mg (3 pills per day) and plaquenil, 2 x per day.

I've been worried about weight gain, therefore decided NOT to weigh myself. However, yesterday and have lost 11 lbs in these 2 weeks. Does this seem normal? Is this a side effect, something else? Should I not worry? Will the weight continue to drop or will it eventually reverse to the prednisone gain?

I was the same way when I first started Prednisone. My doctor told me to watch what I ate because I would gain weight. So I watched every thing I ate and lost weight. When I relized that I was losing weight I ate things that I normaly wouldn't then I gain some weight. But all total I only gained 5 pounds. Then I was off Prednisone for a two and a half month and lost those 5 pounds plus 10 more. Now I am back on it I am still losing wieght. For me when I starts losing weight it then keeps comming off with little effert. But it is hardest to get those first few pounds gone. Just to get the ball started is hard then once it starts rolling it goes by itself. LOL Have a great day.

thanks Annette, it just worried me. I don't want to gain weight, but I don't want to loose to much weight either.

I'll think I'll just keep my eating "as is" and hopefully the weight loss will slow and maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones that don't gain weight from this.
